Corrections Policy

Trajectory aims to be accurate and fair. When we get something wrong, we correct it.

Our approach

Material errors

If we publish something that is factually incorrect in a way that materially affects the reader's understanding, we will correct it as soon as practicable. Corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date and a brief description of what was changed.

Minor errors

Typos, grammatical errors, and other minor issues that do not affect meaning may be corrected without notation.

Clarifications

If something we wrote was accurate but could reasonably be misunderstood, we may add a clarification. These are noted separately from corrections.

Analytical disagreements

Not all disputes are corrections. If you disagree with our analysis or conclusions, but the underlying facts are accurate, that is a matter of interpretation rather than error. We welcome substantive disagreement and may engage with it in future analysis.

How to request a correction

If you believe we have published something factually incorrect, please email editor@readtrajectory.com with:

  • A link to the article in question
  • The specific statement you believe is incorrect
  • The basis for your correction, ideally with a source

We will review all substantive correction requests and respond. If we agree an error occurred, we will correct it and note the correction on the article.

Correction format

Corrections appear at the bottom of corrected articles in the following format: Correction (date): This article originally stated [error]. It has been corrected to [correction]. We regret the error.
